On June 11, the 2026 Bitcoin Asia Media Launch and Global Kickoff, hosted by BTC Inc., with special support from Web3Labs and presented by Metaplanet, was successfully held in Hong Kong.
The event brought together prominent leaders from government, finance, and the global Web3 ecosystem, including Dr. Hon. Johnny Ng Kit Chong, MH, JP, Chairman of the Legislative Council Panel on Commerce, Industry, Innovation and Technology of Hong Kong; John Riggins, CEO and Co-Founder of Moon Inc.; and Caspar Wong, CEO of Web3Labs. Together, they officially launched what is set to become Asia’s largest Bitcoin event in 2026.
In his keynote speech, Dr. Hon. Johnny Ng reaffirmed Hong Kong’s unique advantages as a global Web3 hub and highlighted recent regulatory developments, including Policy Statement 2.0 and the Stablecoins Ordinance. He emphasized that innovation must be built on trust and compliance, and revealed ongoing efforts to establish an “Asia Policy Promotion Group” to strengthen regional cooperation. He concluded by inviting global industry leaders to gather in Hong Kong this August to explore new opportunities in the digital asset sector.
Caspar Wong, CEO of Web3Labs, emphasized Hong Kong’s strategic position as a bridge connecting global resources. He noted that Bitcoin is evolving into a compliant global value network and expressed strong confidence in the transformative potential of AI and Web3 integration. Wong stated that Web3Labs will continue empowering high-quality projects, while Bitcoin Asia 2026 will serve as a vital bridge between Asia and the global market, driving the continued growth of the digital asset ecosystem.
During the media launch, John Riggins, CEO and Co-Founder of Moon Inc., announced the first confirmed lineup of speakers. The two-day summit will take place on August 27–28, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). The event is organized by BTC Inc. (a subsidiary of Nakamoto Inc., Nasdaq: NAKA) and proudly presented by Metaplanet.
